Meeting Highlights from The Endocrine Society's 97th Annual Meeting & Expo

The Endocrine Society's 97th Annual Meeting & Expo was held March 5-8, 2015 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. ENDO 2015 featured an exceptionally extensive clinical and scientific program that included satellite programs, abstracts and posters, Master Clinician Sessions, Meet-the-Profession Sessions, career development workshops, and an Endocrine Nurses Society Symposium and poster session.

Three new Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guidelines were featured:

  • Treatment of Symptoms of Menopause
  • Management of Primary Adrenal Insufficiency
  • Treatment of Cushing’s Syndrome

Award presentations honored many exceptional individuals in important areas of endocrine research:

  • Ajay Chawla, MD, PhD received the Richard E. Weitzman Outstanding Early Career Investigator Award. Dr. Chawla presented The Intersection of Inflammation and Metabolism in Diabetes.
  • Robert M. Neer, MD was the winner of the Gerald D. Aurback Award for Outstanding Translational Research. Dr. Neer presented Advances in Osteoporosis Treatment.
  • Gokhan Hotamisligil, MD, PhD was chosen as the Roy O. Greep Award for Outstanding Research. He presented Regulation and Dysregulation of Signaling Networks.
