Hello,
I recently got a sonogram on my thyroid due to weird symptoms that I have been having lately. I had a health scare about a month ago, and because I have an anxiety disorder, I figured it was either my anxiety (causing me to lose weight, be tense, etc.) or something else. Anyways, they did a bunch of blood work and found that my thyroid levels were normal, but that they found a 1.3cm x 0.9cm hypoechoic nodule and a 0.5x04cm cyst on my right lobe and a 0.9 x 0.6cm cyst on my left lobe.
The radiologist just recommended a follow up examination on my nodule, but I was wondering (because I've read elsewhere that above 1cm should be biopsied) if I should get a second opinion. Because of my anxiety I'm a little bit worried, anyone have any advise?
I'm a 26 year old female btw.
Thanks,
Brittany
