Celiacs Disease if left unchecked and untreated leads to a host of other illnesses, like Osteoporosis due to the lack of nutrients being able to be properly absorbed through the intestines. The severe diarrhea can also create a state of dehydration in the sufferer and further exacerbate the situation. Choosing a gluten free diet and using supplementation to address the diarrhea can greatly help the person live a higher quality of life. You can find out some good gluten substitutes here:
