Hypothyroidism/Removal of 1/2 Thyroid

From: andrea2001 - 6 years 8 weeks ago

Last year, 2011, had 1/2 of thyroid removed because it was diseased. Although the over half of thyroid is swollen HMO protocol prevents removing other half. After removal of 1/2 thyroid given low dose Levoxin. TSH Blood tests show thyroid still in 'low normal' range. Last six months changed to Amour. But now hair is thinning, joints ache. My doctor today said she will raise dosage up from 30mg. Recent blood tests reveal no signs of RA or Diabetes so problems must be from low dosage, right? Anyone out there can tell me their dosage is higher then what I was given? It's pulling hens teeth with my HMO to get any help with this problem. Thanks.
