Hello, I am 47 yrs old and fell like I am 80. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism approx 17 yrs ago, my level was 36. I was immediately started on Synthroid. I saw an Endo approx 16 yrs ago, other than that just treated by GP. My dosage has increased over the yrs and am now up to 200mcg aday. I have several other health issues that may be associated with thyroid, but not sure. I have difficulty swallowing, my voice has changed, sometimes goes out completely, I am beyond exhausted. And most of the time my throat is so fatigued I feel like I have been screaming. I have asked my GP to send me to an Endo but she has felt it wasn't necessary. So I set an appt myself. I have been told for yrs that my levels were fine, so everything with thyroid is fine, But my dosage has increased a few times over the yrs. Any advice would be appreciated!
