Amiodarone induced Hypothyroidism

From: Humbardi - 1 year 22 weeks ago

I have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, caused by Amiodarone.
I had been tested my TSH : 174, my Free T4 is 0,43 ng/dl
and the antibodies 12,01 UI/ml ( range : 0-34 )

I was been taking Amiodarone after Open Heart Surgery during 3 months and it was suspended on January 4.
The Amiodarone is released from the body between 40-100 days after the suspension...
My question is : Is this type of Hypothyroidism cronic or it will end after the Amiodarone is released from the body ?
I am starting to take Synthroid tomorrow morning .
I appreciate your comments and advice.
best wishes to all
Humbardi
