Question regarding highs & lows

From: Wynterlady - 2 years 46 weeks ago

Hi everybody,
I am new to this site but not to Type 2 Diabetes. I was diagnosed in 2003. I have had maybe 10 yrs all together of good control. Since being on social assistance (where I live has no disability assistance), I have found it harder & harder to control my blood levels. I was wondering if anyone knows which is worse over the long term.... High blood sugar or low blood sugar? I can't get a straight answer out of the doctor / diabetic nurses in my area as the experts work over 2 hrs away & I can't afford the gas or time.
Thanks so much for any advice or information you may be able to provide.

Is this good advice?

I am a Nursing Assistant in a hospital. Uncontrolled high blood sugar in the long run affects several organs in the body I do not know too much about low blood sugar. But an unbalance in any system has negative affects.
