What happened after you started Synthyroid?

From: beebee1791 - 1 year 15 weeks ago

I'm a 25 year old female that was recently diagnosed as having Hypothyroidism and probably have suffered with it for the last 2 years. I just started my trial run of Synthyroid at 50 mcg a day. I feel better than I have in a very long time. I have so much energy and no mood swings anymore. Its almost impossible to make me upset now. I also wake up feeling like I slept well and that I don't need to drink a ton of caffeine just to function like a person. I no longer crave sugary and salty foods. And if I eat them I can only stand to eat a little bit when before I could eat an entire cake. I also have to eat breakfast an hour to an hour and half after taking my medication, or I will be starving. I've never had to eat breakfast before. I used to have to force myself to eat because I knew I should have been hungry. Now if I'm not eating 3 meals a day, I actually feel hungry. I've only lost 2 lbs since starting the medicine but I wonder with this increase in my metabolism and energy I wonder if weight will start to come off more easily now. After 2 years of forcing myself to work out at a gym and dieting, only to see the scale and inches go up is discouraging, it almost gives me hope but I'm scared to be too hopeful. I want to go back to weighing 150, not this 185 to 195 backforth because I ate a cheeseburger 1 day and now need to run for 6 miles.

I was just curious did anyone else feel this way after starting treatment and what happened in the months following your first month of treatment? Did you lose weight, sleep better, or found you were hungry more often then you used to be?
