interpret results.

From: redwind30 - 2 years 25 weeks ago

I recently had some blood work done and received the following results:
TSH 2.36
Free T4 1.1
Free T3 2.8

I have gained about 7 -10 pounds over the past year. I am having a diffiuclt time losing the weight. Could this be due to thyroid condition. My Doctor said the TSH should be below 2. He did not say anything about the T3 or T4.
Suggested I go on a Nutrition Therapy that is given by IV to help me lose the weight. My concern is that if it is my thyroid causing the weight gain and the thyroid is not treated will I gain the weight back?

Do you think these levels warrant thyroid medication? Are they borderline or are these really bad numbers?
