Weight gain if treated?

From: Ktalks - 6 weeks 6 days ago

I’m a 20 year old female. I have just found out that I have highthyroid. I got sick about four months ago and that kicked started my symptoms. I was constantly throwing up after I got sick and I started loosing weight without try. I was excited but along with the weight loss I became extremely tired I couldn’t even carry a case of water anymore. I just decided that is was from the weight loss that I was so weak. I got sick again so I went to the ER and they told me everything was fine. I also have TMJ which makes my jaws swell I went to my primary care doctor for medicine for my jaws a few days later. When I got there I was extremely dehydrated my pulse was very high and I was sweating profusely. He immediately put my jaw pain on the back burner and told me I was very sick and needed to go get blood work done because he thought I had an over active thyroid I had also lost over 40 pounds in this time. The blood work confirmed and Im starting scans now and then will go see the Endocrinologist to get treatment. But I am very concerned that I will gain all of my weight back. I’m hoping with really good diet and exercise I can keep the weight off. If anyone out there has a similar story to mine I would love to hear .
