EndocrineWeb Community Advice

Hi everyone, new here :)

So my father was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's with an extremely high level of antibodies (thousands). As a result I had blood tests which I just received results of today and am a bit perplexed about.

It seems my antibodies level was 200, but my hormone levels were all normal. The doctor said that this means they'll just keep an eye on me, with 6 monthly blood tests to check levels are still good.

Problem is that I suffer with LOADS of the symptoms of Hashimoto's, the Wikipedia entry is basically a list of my symptoms! Is it possible that I can have normal hormone levels and still benefit from taking thyroxin?

Also am planning another pregnancy in 6 months to a year, should I consult with an endocrinologist first?

Thanks for reading :)
