Thyroidectomy for Hashimoto's?

From: Crazylady - 51 weeks 3 days ago

I have struggled with Hashimoto's for the last 18 years. My thyroid is constantly fluctuating. One week I can barely get out of bed, the next, I may sleep a couple hours a night. This has really affected my quality of life. I recently read a study that thyroidectomys were performed for Hashimoto's patients to stop that fluctuation. The study reported that 86% of patients saw a decrease in extreme fatigue. Has anyone had a thyroidectomy for Hashimoto's? I'm willing to try anything to have my life back.
