trouble interpreting test results

From: mshennessy33 - 2 years 13 weeks ago

Recently I went to a new internist. He ordered blood work and tested the T3, T4 and TSH profile. T3 and T4 were within normal range but when his nurse called she said the TSH was abnormal so the doctor increased my dosage of Levothyroxine. He increased it from 125 mcg to 175 mcg. I've looked at the results in the patient portal and don't see how the thyroid levels are low. In April the TSH was 15.7 and last week it was 13.2 Is this a big jump is dosage and should it have increased that much or more or less?

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's when I was 9. I started at 100 mcg and stayed at that dose until I had my daughter at age 29. The dosage has fluctuated slightly since then but I don't recall being on this high of a dose and am wondering about the accuracy.
