Hypothyroid vs sleep apnea

From: Sammich1987 - 2 years 17 weeks ago

Saw endo last week who isn't convinced that i am hypothyroid but thinks my symptoms of fatigue, join/muscle aches, insomnia, irritability, brain fog and depression are due to possible sleep apnea. Had left thyroid removed 3 years ago due to large nodule. Was negative for cancer but was never told it was Hashimoto's, just that i would eventually need thyroid replacement. For last 2 years i have fought with my primary NP about feeling so down and questioning why i was so sick all winter with bronchitis and ear infections. Finally after throwing a fit because my TSH and T4 numbers had been changing every year and because i was tired of feeling like crap all the time she đecided to start me on Levothyroxine 25 mcg. Checked my Vit D3 and insulin levels and TSH and T4 numbers. Those were actually better but i do have Vit D deficiency as well as elevated insulin levels. She also thought i needed a antidepressant because " depression can cause all of my symptoms". That just made me more upset! Ive been feeling some better on the Levothyroxine but saw endo anyway who is now suggesting i have sleep apnea because my "numbers" were "normal". He is going to check me for Hashimoto's but feels pretty sure that isn't the case. I'm so discouraged and tired of dealing with this and them. Why won't they listen to me? Thanks for listening and for any advice. Apologize for the length of my story
