post-operative issues

From: magnan - 10 years 49 weeks ago

I had my thyroid removed 6 months ago and have had nothing but health problems ever since. It was not cancer, just Hashimotos (the preop biopsy was indeterminate, thus the surgery). I have had muscle/bone pain and a burning sensation, but not necessarily what I would call tingling. My endo finally checked my parathyroid and calcium and they were both low so I have been taking 3000mg of calcium a day. My parathryoid has come up, but my calcium has remained low. Just wondered if anyone else has had these problems and how long they will last. I get the sense that my endo doesn't have very many patients who end up having "just" Hashimotos and not cancer and no one seems to know what the implications of that are.
