Hashimotos with Vitiligo

From: My3sons - 2 years 41 weeks ago

I was diagnosed with hashimotos about 10 years ago. About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with a new onset of Vitiligo.
Also about 6 months ago I started having severe spells several times a day and night where I will get extremely hot and my face, chest, ears and fingers will turn bright red and I break out in a soaking sweat.
I know this is not menopausal hot flashes, I had total hysterectomy over 10 years ago and this is definitely not the same kind of hot flash I had during "the change".
Anyone else out there experienced this?

Is this good advice?

Yes, I can definitely relate. I too have vitiligo and also experience profuse sweating on the back of my neck and head. Night sweats are back also. I've also been through menopause and that was easier than this!! My tsh is within range so my doctor does nothing for me. I guess he is going to do something after my thyroid is totally destroyed. I have honestly learned to just cope with this disease and everything that comes with it because I'm so damned tired of these so-called "doctors" with their pompous and holier than thou attitudes. I'm sure you understand how I feel. Thank God for these message boards. God bless you on your journey through this hashimoto nightmare!! Be well.
