High T4 and High TSH -

From: Iceskate mum - 6 years 26 weeks ago

Hi I'm in the UK and have just begun this journey, although I haven't been well for years! I have been getting my thyroid checked every 2 -3 months for the last 9 months. First I was told my T4 was within Normal range but the TSH was high . Now I just got results were both T4 and TSH are high . My GP wants to see me and I guess I am curious what this could mean as I can't really find anything on the internet where the 2 results are high. I have recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and at one appointment the Consultant commented that I seemed to have a "failing " thyroid but as it wasn't his field he couldn't comment further. I'm not too worrie at the moment but an insight would be useful before going to chat with my GP. Thanks
