A Constant Rollercoaster Ride...I want to get off now!

From: angel52 - 6 years 47 weeks ago

I had Hyperthyroidism. My doctor found out through bloodwork. Sent me to an Endocrinologist who gave me my options...I opted to have my thyroid destroyed as I am not having any more children. I went through Hell! Thought I was losing my mind...thought it might be cancer (as I kept losing weight)...constantly felt cold. Well, that was about 3 years ago...and I am still on that ride! Now, I have Graves' disease which is the eye-bulge/irritation and inflammation disorder. I am tired all of the time...and my energy level is at its all-time lowest. Struggling to function with my daily I am starting a new job. This, to me, seems like a lifelong struggle. I thought it would get better after my thyroid was destroyed...but it did not. I just want to feel normal again. Wonder if that will ever happen??? Also, my levels (TSH) keep fluctuating and do not remain at a normal level. The weight I've gained over the past few months was shocking to I have always been a slender-athletic woman. As many times (every morning) as I workout at my gym...the scale does not budge...I am getting very depressed. (Sigh)
