Normal TSH, high hormone levels?

From: Gravesmom - 3 years 6 weeks ago

My daughter is 15, has been having stomach pains intermittantly and nausea and vomiting.
I thought it was anxiety from school. Still do.

I have Grave’s disease. So they tested her thyroid levels.

All the nurse gave me was that everything was normal except for her thyroid HORMONES.
The actual TSH was normal.

I can’t find this combo on any search!
Only one thing I found said it was very rare to have normal TSH and high...whatever the hormones are called. And if so, it’s.....something weird. Or bad.

I’m freaking out. Cancer? Pituitary tumor? Worse?

Why can I not find this combo of results anywhere?

Her “thyroid hormone” levels were 2.1.
She said the normal range is .93 to 1.6.

Is this good advice?

Are the hormones in question T4? Because that could be slight hypothyroidism. I actually was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer at 15 and my symptom was a swollen lymph node that didn’t go away(took us 1 1/2 years to get someone to listen to the fact it wasn’t going down). And when they tested my TSH it was normal so they didn’t think I had a thyroid problem. My advice is that if you think something is wrong have them run tests and advocate because doctors are human too. I wish you all the best of luck and hope you get the answers to what’s going on.
