getting pregnant with graves disease

From: chunteydaniel - 7 years 3 weeks ago

Hi, i got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last August and went to an endocrinologist and was then diagnosed with graves disease. My worry is can i still get pregnant? the only medication I am taking is the PTU 200mg 4x daily. I have had a full tubaligation 6 years ago but i woke up one morning with all the same symptoms as when i was prgnant with both my children before. Do i need to get a pregnacy test?

Is this good advice?

It's probably a good idea to get a blood test just to confirm if you're pregnant or not. If you are pregnant, I highly suggest seeing a maternal fetal medicine team. They will know how to best treat you.
