About Angela Fitch MD, FACP
Angela Fitch, MD, is an associate professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati, and medical director of the UCHealth Weight Loss Center, Cincinnati, OH. Dr. Fitch recently was appointed Vice President of Primary Care at UCHealth.
In 2012, Dr. Fitch became medical director for the Metabolic Health and Weight Management Clinic at Park Nicollet Clinic in St. Louis Park, MN, and began practicing bariatric medicine full time.
Dr. Fitch graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Chemical Engineering. She worked as a product development engineer for 2 years for Procter and Gamble before going to medical school. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospitals. Dr. Fitch relocated to Minnesota to be a primary care physician for eight years for Fairview Health Systems, during which she developed a medical home model and new system of primary care delivery. She also worked at the University of Minnesota Pediatric Weight Management Clinic, treating children, ages 4 to 18, who were struggling with obesity. Dr. Fitch is board certified in obesity medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine. Also, she is a trustee of the Obesity Medicine Association and a member of the American Board of Obesity Medicine writing committee.
