About Tamara J Vokes MD
Doctor Tamara Vokes is a Professor of Medicine at The University of Chicago’s Department of Medicine and Director of the Endocrine Fellowship Program. In addition, Dr. Vokes is the Director of the University’s Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease Clinic. Her primary areas of interest include osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, menopause, and endocrinology.
Dr. Vokes received her medical degree from the University of Belgrade in Serbia and completed her residency at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago. Thereafter, she completed endocrinology fellowships at the University of California at Los Angeles, and at The University of Chicago.
Dr. Vokes is an active member of many prestigious medical societies, including the American College of Physicians, American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, International Society of Bone Densitometry, National Osteoporosis Foundation, and The Endocrine Society.
