i was wondering if any one could tell me since i have thyroid cancer and it has been removed. can i also get diabetes becasue it has been removed

I don't believe so. Your pancreas is responsible for insulin supply & is not influenced directly by the thyroid. I would say that the larger influences would be family history & weight.
