Neck Swelling

From: SweetPea - 5 years 48 weeks ago

I'm 22 years old. I've had hypothyroidism for about 3 years, I was on levothyroxine 25mcg. I was on that dosage for about 2.5 years, it didn't help me much, so I'm trying a higher dosage. I know with a thyroid condition, not taking your meds is a no-no, but it wasn't helping anyways.

Last week, I noticed some swelling around the base of my neck, right around where the thyroid is located. My throat has been a little sore and my voice has been cracking occasionally--this has subsided greatly over the past few days, but the swelling is still there. It's tender when I press on it and sometimes when I don't touch it. Could this be a nodule?
