thyroid, diabetes and testosterone!

From: David - 41 weeks 4 days ago

I am on hormone therpay for low testosterone. I have been told that testosterone can increase thyroid binging globulin....perhaps then leading to symptoms of hypothyroidism.....and this can then complicate syptoms of diabetes?

I have tingling in my hands and feet, chronic feelings of fatigue, and I get these feelings of huge hunger and I get dizzy and weak, but even after eating it doesnt go away.

I have had FGT and they seem to come up normal each time. My TSH levels are low....on low reference limit - and yet my T4 and T3 is also low....suggesting a pituitary issue.

I feel like a mess~!

I'm new here & saw your posting - I hope that the doctors are able to get everything leveled out for you. I can really relate to what your going through - I have been on Estrogen replacement for over 25 years - I have been hypothyroid for nearly 15 years and a few days ago I was diagnosed as hyperglycemic. I am also getting dizzy and extremely weak, hunger pains - oh yeah. Worst of all is I am nearly 100 lbs over weight now (did that in about 6months) and can't seem to loose the weight.
Any way - hang in there and keep trying. It will eventually all level out.

Dear David,
I can't tell you how close your letter was to me if you only knew what I have gone through. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Graves desease. They monitored my levels for over a year before desiding to iradiate my thyrod to kill it. 70 lbs later and 2 years I feel like crap. As with you my testosterone level is that of a little kid I think my wife has more than me. I have no sex drive and I'm now on testosterone injections. By the way they do nothing either. I wish I could offer you more help, but I can't if you hear of anything please let me know.
Thanks for listening. Jeff
