Well, after years of trying to figure out what was happening to me, and years of doctors trying to shove depression medicine down my throat the doctors finally decide to do a full test on my thyroid. Low and behold my levels are through the roof high.
It really irritates me that I had to get to the point that I feel like I can't get up off the sofa, suffer weeks of insomnia- to weeks of not being able to get out of bed. I was seriously wondering if I was in a process of slow decline to an eventual bad end.
Even after I told the docs that my mother and grandmother have thyroid problems, they still thought I was depressed and wouldn't run bloodwork for the thyroid(they ran every other kind though?) The only way I got the docs to run the test is to agree to take wellbutrin!! She did end up calling me the next day and apologizing once the test results came in, and the wellbutrin did give me extra energy so I guess something good came out of it, lol. Now I am just waiting to see the endocrinologist.
Has anyone else encountered this situation with the doctors??
