Posted in: Hyperthyroidism, and General Discussion.
I was just diagnosed with hyperthyriodism and i've been reading a bunch of the stuff on this site about it but I have a lot of questions that my doctor really isn't answering very well.
Basically, I have two questions: For one, is there any treatment option that doesn't require me to be on pills for the rest of my life?
When I asked my doctor he said that the iodine treatment would just give hypothyriodism, which would also require pills.
Secondly, what is the benefit/risk of this treatment in the long run? What makes hypo better or safe that hyper?
Thank you
