I haven't been feeling well over the last few weeks. I have been extremely tired to the point where I was sleeping 14 hours at least a day. I walk regularly every morning and eat pretty healthy, but seem to be gaining weight despite everything I do. I've also had stomach problems where I have to either vomit or get diarrhea. This usually happens at night. Last night when I washed my hair I had more hair than usual come out in my brush. I have very thick hair and usually shed. The most scary part was that last night I woke up shaking because I was so cold. I had to get up and put long pants, shirt, and sweatshirt on as well as turn off the fan. I still laid in bed shaking because I couldn't get warm.
I went to the Dr. and I'm not pregnant so they ran gull bladder tests, but nothing has come up. My grandfather had a goiter, my dad also some a lump on his thyroid, and my sister recently was dianosed with thyroid cancer and had her thyroid removed. I had a thyroid test done in April and they said my number was 1.62-I am not sure if this is normal. Nobody explained anything. I don't want to be paranoid and think something is wrong with my thyroid, but I'm tired of not feeling well and just being passed off by the Dr.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi Abby, Maybe you need to get a second opinion. If I had not pushed I would not have found my cancer. ALL my tests came back normal except the untrasound. So, they knew there was nodule, when they biopsied it, it was a surprise to everyone that it was malignant. If you do not feel well there is probably something amiss. More than one doctor said they have to rely on how the patient feels too. These tests are not the end all. Heidi
Thanks, Heidi! I think I will go get a second opinion. That's a great idea. Too many of the doctors just pass you off and in addition to all the other simptoms, last night my body was on fire. My husband wouldn't even give me a hug because he said I was so hot. I actually felt a little cool, so I hope everything's not starting all over again. I've had 2 weeks of not being/feeling sick. Thanks.
I HOPE AFTER ALL OF THIS TIME YOU HAVE INVESTIGATED INTO HYPERPARATHYROIDISM,
UNUSUAL BUT MISSED VERY OFTEN BY ALL DOCTORS, INCLUDING ENDOS.!
