If this is you then please do as I did and search by high calcium and see what happens in relation to hyper-parathyroidism. You can also search by parathyroid.
Would like to hear from anyone who can self diagnose your bone loss (as I did--not my doctor!) as a PARATHYROID TUMOR!

I was diagnosed with mildly high calcium 3 months ago. I've only had one PTH level (21) drawn and on that day it was normal, along with my calcium (10). I also have blood in my urine, that my doctor isn't concerned about. I'm mildly achy off and on and fatigued. Hoping that it's hyperparathyroidisman and not something else. I actually contacted Dr. Norman and he said I still need more tests and a smarter doctor, but I was very happy at his rapid response. I'm afraid this is the beginning of a long battle with something. Hope its not cancer. I made an appt with an endocrinologist, but can't get in for 3 months. Next I have to make an appt with a urologist, because I am concerned about blood in my uring. Any advice or comments?
