Grave's Disease, then Hypothyroidism, then back again?

From: clairekm - 3 years 4 weeks ago

I was diagnosed with Grave's disease and had all the sympotoms in my early 20's. I was treated with daily medicine (did not do the iodine treatment) and after 3 years I had stable thyroid levels!!Yeah! But after 2 years without any medicine and being stable, I suddenly was feeling the symptoms of hypothyroidism.
When I went to my endrocinologist, my levels showed that they were very low and so since then I have been on Levothyroxine. However, we had alot of trouble getting the dosage right for me, as some days I would be sluggish and others my heart would be drastically racing. Eventally, there was a dose abuot in the middle that worked.

Everything has been fine for about a year on that steady dose, however I am noticing now that occasionally, I will have my heart rate surge drastically (just sitting at my desk at work, not doing anything strenous), my palms will sweat, and I will feel shaky, lightheaded and nervous.

My question to everyone out there is has anyone had the experience of having their thyroid swing all over the place? Going from Hyper to Hypo and then all over the place?

Thanks ahead of time for anyone that has any thoughts on this, I really appreciate it.
Claire
