Grave's Disease Vs. Tonsillectomy

I was just diagnosed 2 weeks ago that I have Grave's Disease, that same day I had an appt with my ENT Dr who told me my tonsils needed to be removed right away. Do I wait for this grave's disease to become more under control or shoul i get the tonsils out before?
