Non parathyroid hypercalcemia

From: fightingfatigue - 11 weeks 3 days ago

I have been having an extremely difficult last two weeks in which I have been very ill. This is my first time posting on here so I should start off by saying "Hi!" to everyone. For the past almost 2 weeks, I have been having severe headaches, frequent urination, kidney pain, flank pain, nausea, I can't eat, I can't sleep, I lost 7 lbs. in 7 days, I'm confused, I'm depressed and cry at nothing, I'm totally exhausted I can't walk more than a couple of feet before I feel like I'm going to collapse, and I've felt several times like I am going to pass out. I also have bone pain that is almost unbearable. I do have a 20 year history of CFS and Fibromyalgia and IC Disease but these symptoms are nothing like those and I explained that to my dr.

The dr. did blood work and it came back non parathyroid hypercalcemia, but my serum calcium was 9.9 so I guess that is why they weren't overly concerned. I have been to the dr.'s office 2 times and the ER once in the past 12 days trying to get someone to take me seriously. I finally got my endo. referral appt. for Tuesday so thank God they got me in so fast.

It is so frustrating trying to get doctors to listen to you when you are so sick. I may not have a medical degree but I know my body and I am not stupid. I have been getting very scared and am worried that something is going to happen to me when I'm home alone with my son.

Why can't I get anyone to take me seriously with this I wonder?
