Classic Buffalo Hump but Cortisol tests show normal

Anyone ever heard of fat pad on my shoulder and lower neck that does not indicate Cushings? This thing rose up on my back at the age of 25 yrs old. No pain, just unsightly.
I am now 50 yrs old and this thing is very painful. Feels like my spine is trying to bend inward and also I cannot lay my head flat on the bed, it comes to rest on this hump.
I have hypothyroidism and take levothyroxine 50 mcg a day. I have been telling various doctors for 25! years now about this and at least now I think I've found a doctor who seems to be trying to figure out what is going on. I am awaiting word on spinal x-rays and will be having a bone density in August, Blood test indicate TSH,cortisol,kidney function levels are all normal. Anyone have any ideas? Please write me a note.
